So I have been doing this one project from April this year, and it has consumed my life and has brought me such insight. It has led me to meet people I would not have likely met in my design life.

One day when the time is right I will get hitched and have children. And as they grow up, this is how stylish I would like them to be.

P.S. (they would have inherited it from their mommy, it will be hereditary)

When you just look good

I appreciate stylists/buyers and fashion designers, trend setters, trend reviewers and such but there are those days when style just goes out the window. When you have that beautiful top and nothing to match it with. Lucky for us fashion these days is what I can say “free” or rather the choice is free. But no one person who is exposed to the internet can say they have not seen how to style that top with that skirt and that bag. We don’t need personal stylists, we just need to understand our frame and taste in clothing. It just takes a little collaboration between clothing to come up with that particular style.

Here are simple styles that are carefully put together to create that nonchalant look. That “Oh! this, I quickly put this together this morning.” ENJOY something that just looks good.

INFLUENCERS

So I just had the most wonderful experience at the SABS Design Achievers 2011, I was one of the finalist in this years program. SABS Design Achievers is an award scheme that focuses to award a student who does exceptional work in regards to social awareness design. Students this year were from different parts of the country and different disciplines in design such as graphic design, industrial design, multimedia, fashion design and interior design.

What an honour to be a part of great minds who are likely to influence the direction of design in South Africa. Instinctly I am drawn to words and good, inspiring design. I have included words said by people who in their own right influenced the world.

In our little corners as design students, we are able to elicit change. This is for innovation, passion and change.
